If you’re reading this article, you were probably not born with the perfect little button nose like Drew Barrymore or a sultry thin nose like Angelina Jolie. If your nose is more along the lines of Barbara Streisand or Howard Stern then it’s important to learn different types of tricks to draw the attention away from your nose and give the perception that your nose is smaller. Here are a few tips to help you get a smaller nose:

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Use make-up to create shadows and make your nose appear smaller. To slim your nose, take a slightly darker foundation and apply to the sides of your nose and mix well with your fingers. For a larger bridge, apply the darker foundation down the center of your nose and mix well. This will make your bridge look smaller.

  2. Step 2

Play up the other features on your face. Apply dramatic eye make up, blush your high cheekbones, and accentuate your lips. Your goal is to draw the attention to your eyes and lips and away from the center of your face.

  3. Step 3

Find a nice haircut that compliments your face shape, and does not draw attention to the center of your face. For instance, straight bangs tend to draw more attention to your nose. Try to stick with side or long bangs. Speak with your hairdresser and see what they recommend for your face type.

  4. Step 4

As a last resort, consider Rhinoplasty… or a “nose job.” Of course, do your research and find a reputable doctor. Consult a physician to determine if surgery is a viable option for you, and beware of all the risks involved.

on 8/20/2009 Actually, I got a nose job to INCREASE the size of my nose so it would fit further down into my girlfriend's deep cleavage. But now that she had breast-reduction surgery after reading your other article, it's rhinoplasty for me!
