These moist, delicious brownies are gluten, making them the perfect brownie for just about everyone! Great alternative or addition to cupcakes for school birthday parties and bakesales.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 brown rice or sweet rice flour
  • 1/2 organic sugar
  • 1/4 cup dutch coco powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 cup Chocolate chunks
  • 1 cup Sunflower Butter (optional)
  1. Step 1

    Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, coco, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  3. Step 3

In a separate large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, vanilla and egg. Whisk until well blended.

  4. Step 4

Add butter mixture to dry ingredients and combine. Mix until all ingredients are moist and full incorporated though some small lumps should remain.

  5. Step 5

Add chocolate chips, sunflower butter or nuts. Mix and set aside.

  6. Step 6

Grease and 8 x 8 baking sheet for traditional brownies or line a mini muffin tin with wrappers for brownie bites.

  7. Step 7

Pour mixture in pan and bake for 22-27 minutes or until the brownies begin to pull slightly away from the side of pan. The center should still be gooey and soft.

  8. Step 8

    Serve warm and enjoy!
