Wash the leg quarters in the sink. Place them into large cooking pot and cover them with water. Season with pepper and garlic powder.

Turn the heat on high and bring the chicken and water to a boil. Let the chicken boil until the meat is easy to pull away from the bone. Remove the chicken from the water and place in a colander, reserving the water in the pot. Place the water back on the stove on medium heat.

    • 3

Run cold water over the chicken while you remove the bones. Save a few pieces of the skin, just to add a little flavor to the chicken and dumplings. After all of the bones are removed, place the chicken pieces back in the water

In a small cup, make a mixture of flour and water into a paste. You can always add more if you would like a thicker soup. When it has a smooth consistency, pour the mixture into the water with the chicken.

    • 5

Pour out a small amount of flour onto a dinner plate, then season with pepper. Flatten a refrigerated biscuit in your hand and roll in the flour. Pinch off small pieces and place into the water with the chicken. Continue until all biscuits are in. Cook the dumplings for another 15 to 20 minutes on medium heat, then serve hot.
