Not everybody can create a really good song. There are a lot of songs out there that were sung by artists while, the real person who created the song sits behind the scenes.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • recorder
  • notepad
  • pen or pencil
  1. Step 1

Based on my personal experience, I'd have to say first thing you need to do is focus on a subject or topic the songs will be about. The songs can even turn out to be a little bit off or not exactly about the topic you were originally thinking. That doesn't matter.

  2. Step 2

To create a song you should perceive it like having a conversation. In a conversation you express your feelings and thoughts about a certain matter. Same thing with a song, but with the song you express yourself in a unique way and rhythm unlike anybody else, or else you're not going to stand out from the rest.

  3. Step 3

Again based on my experience, it helps to be articulate. If you happen to feel like you're in love with someone, think about what it is you want to sing to the person or about that person. The songs does not have to be about love. Truly talented people can create songs relating to various topics. Use everything you've heard and seen in your live to help you put energy into the song. If it's meant to be the song will flow out of you so easily in a way, that will make people want to ask you, how did you do that.

  4. Step 4

Sometimes the song can be made for someone else to sing because you're thinking about that persons voice, and what topic or words that person would sound great sing with his or her own voice. So in your mind you play that person voice like you play an instrument. You hear that persons voice singing or rapping your words. Words that person never really sung before. If it sounds good in your head then it will sound good when that person literally sings the song you came up with.

Tips & Warnings
  • It's best to record a song you have in mind before you write it down. Pausing in between thoughts and stanzas could make you lose the flow of the song. So Don't start writing down the song until you finish recording it.
  • When creating a song, make sure the people around you are those you can trust. If not they will surely take advantage of you and leave you hanging. I hate to say it, but I am speaking from experience with that as well.
