Things You'll Need:
- 2/3 cup almonds 5 oranges 1 20-oz package double-chocolate muffin mix 3/4 cup sugar
-
Step 1
First pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees F. Some people also like to spray the pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking to the pan.
-
Step 2
Chop the almonds in a cup. Next, zest the 1 of the oranges. To zest an orange is to peel strips from it.
-
Step 3
Squeeze 1 1/2 - 2 cups of orange juice from the oranges.
-
Step 4
Prepare the muffin mix, but use half of the orange juice squeezed instead of water. Blend in the chopped almonds and grated zest. Bake 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
-
Step 5
In a saucepan, mix the sugar and remaining orange juice. Simmer until think. Pour the sauce over the torte and garnish with the zest!
