Leaving a good comment on ehow articles for friends

Whether you're a newbie or old-timer, everyone can use a refresher on how to write good comments on eHow articles. Some of us try to be good friends while others don't even bother to ever rate the majority of their "friends" articles. This is a basic how to be a good friend on eHow by leaving good comments.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Friends on ehow
  • Article to write comment on
  1. Step 1

Honestly read your friends' article. Some of us are speed readers while others aren't, but you can learn a lot of good information by reading more than just the title of an article. If you like it, rate and recommend. If you accidentally hit less than 5 stars, you can correct it! This is great because you can change your rating of 1 to rating of 5. After all, why hurt someone's rating?

  2. Step 2

Use some keywords in your comment. The simple smiley face or Good thanks doesn't help. It shows not only did you not take the time to read the article fully but you didn't take the time to leave a worthwhile comment. If someone wrote an article on a cake, write something like, "Cake is an excellent dessert" or demonstrate what you liked by highlighting specifics in the article. If you have anything negative to say or correction in spelling/typo error, privately send a message to your friend.

  3. Step 3

Lastly, leave someone a comment that might make them likely to return the favor. After all, we get paid based on traffic we have driven to our articles so treat someone how you want to be treated. Don't go around just adding friends before taking the time to read, rate, write a comment and recommend if you so see fit. And definitely don't add friends to mass email them your new articles or beg for a recommendation/subscription. Someone will do so if they want to. Just leave positive comments on your friends' articles and you will slowly see the pattern of them returning the favor.

on 11/23/2009 Excellent article that rings true. Karma- what goes around comes around. Don't try working the system, become part of it. Leave nice comments and nice comments will come back to. You get my vote!

on 11/18/2009 Everyone on Ehow should read this article! While not everyone has time to write long comments, it's true some mention of the article name should show up in the comment. That's what helps tie it to the article. I learned a lot from this lady when I first joined Ehow and she knows what she's talking about. This is another excellent and important topic to help your friends - and yourself in your writing career.

on 10/10/2009 You gave very good information on how to write good comments on articles. I make my best friends on ehow by doing exactly what you said. We do need to spend time in the article, I like trying to find out things I had no ideal about. I have put several to use and they all have worked so far. I don't like the 1 line comment either.I guess I just have to much to say about what I read. If the article is interesting I can write on and on. 5*
