Butter Makes Everything Better!Using butter or shortening, grease your loaf pan along the bottom and sides. This will keep the baked bread from sticking when you remove it from the pan.

Measure 3 cups of self rising flour into a mixing bowl.
-
Step 4
Add 2 tablespoons of white sugar to the flour. Mix thoroughly with a large spoon or spatula.

I like wooden spoons.Slowly pour the room temperature beer into the flour & sugar, mixing as you pour. Batter will be heavy.

Step 7
Set timer for 45 minutes. When the oven is preheated to 375 degrees, place the loaf pan on the center rack. Bake for 45 minutes.

on 12/5/2009 I have this recipe and it really is good, however I use 2 cans of beer; one for the recipe and one to drink while its baking! Seriously, my kids love it and I could make a meal out of it, makes great toast too.
