Using butter or shortening, grease your loaf pan along the bottom and sides. This will keep the baked bread from sticking when you remove it from the pan.

When the oven is preheated to 375 degrees, place the loaf pan on the center rack. Bake for 45 minutes.

Oven times may vary. Bread is done when a toothpick or knife inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.

Tips & Warnings
  • This bread tastes great warm - especially when you slather on some real butter!
  • Perfect with spicy chili and your favorite beer.
  • You can amaze your friends with this easy bread.
  • If you're not certain your oven is heating properly, you can buy an oven thermometer to check the temperature. I like the kind that can both hang from the rack or sit on the rack.
  • If you are concerned about spills, place some tin foil on the bottom of the oven to catch drips.
  • If you are under 21, you can eat this bread, but you can't drink the beer that goes into it!

on 12/5/2009 I have this recipe and it really is good, however I use 2 cans of beer; one for the recipe and one to drink while its baking! Seriously, my kids love it and I could make a meal out of it, makes great toast too.
