Everyone enjoys having a fresh brewed cup of coffee, but when your coffee maker gets dirty from use a proper quick cleaning is in order. Follow a few easy steps and you can have your coffee maker shining in no time!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Ice
  • Salt
  • Vinegar
  1. Step 1

    Fill your coffee maker with water.

  2. Step 2

    Add approximately 2 ounces of white vinegar to the water. The vinegar will help remove any deposits the coffee has left behind inside of your coffee maker.

  3. Step 3

    Brew the mixture of water and vinegar through the coffee part 2-3 times. Make a fresh mixture of water and vinegar each time to really get your coffee maker clean.

  4. Step 4

    Brew fresh water through the coffee pot 2-3 times to remove any left over vinegar from the cleaning process.

  5. Step 5

    Remove the coffee filter basket and wash with warm soap and water. Rinse the basket well with warm water.

  6. Step 6
    Just enough ice to cover the bottom of the coffee pot.

    Add 6-8 ice cubes, 1-2 tsp salt, and 1 ounce vinegar to your coffee pot. Swirl this mixture around for about 1 minute to remove all the old coffee deposits from your pot.

    Wash the pot clean with warm water and soap. You are now ready to enjoy a fresh brewed pot of coffee from your clean coffee maker.
