Step 1
Get a pair of tweezers. Make sure they will be able to grab the tick.

Grab the tick and pull. Make sure you get the entire tick out of your skin. Don't use vasoline or any other substance. Just pull the tick with the tweezers. That's it! That's how easy it is to remove a tick.

Now, that you have removed it. What kind of tick was it? If it was the size of a pencil point, then it was probably a deer tick. In which case you need to monitor your body to make sure it didn't carry Lyme disease. Look for any kind of rash that resembles a bullseye (a round red circle with a smaller round circle inside). If you experience any kind of flu-like symptoms go to the doctor. These symptoms can happen anywhere from 3 days to a month after a bite. So monitor your body. If you want bring the tick on a piece of scotch tape to the doctor and let them decide what to do. Lyme disease is a bacterial disease that can cause abnormalities in the skin, joints, heart, and nervous system.
