Things You'll Need:
- High speed internet
- Scanner
- Access to baseball card price guides such as Beckett

Step 1
Before you sell your cards, you must purchase them. Many people have collections left over from their childhood, but probably not enough to make significant profit. It is strongly suggested that cards be purchased in lots from online retailers such as EBay. Some people have collections of great cards, but they have since lost interest and just want to get rid of them! You can get an excellent price on thousands of cards. Of course, this means you must sort through them all, weeding out the bad from the good.
-
Step 2
Once you have your stars separated from your commons, be sure you properly protect them all. Stars should be placed in hard plastic, while commons can go in large boxes designed to keep them safe.
-
Step 3
Now to selling the cards. The best way to do it is online. Of course the competition is strong, but with a good website and/or eBay presence, you can carve out a niche in the industry. The beauty of selling baseball cards online, is they are generally cheap to mail, especially in smaller quantities. Building a personal website can be a very difficult process, but with the help of Word Press, or other similar service, it can be done. You might use a free merchant service like Google Checkout or Paypal in order to process your orders.

Step 4
When a card or cards sell, mail them out immediately. Do not allow a day to go by! Good customer service goes a long way when it comes to selling baseball cards. If you make your customers happy, and they feel they got a really good deal from you, they are much more likely to purchase from you again.
