How to Make A Truffle Box

Fold a truffle / gift box out of a piece of white tag board

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Piece of tag board
• Paper for pattern
• Scissors
• Ruler

1. On pattern paper, draw a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" square in the center. Draw two 2-1/2" squares on each side so that you have a cross shape of five squares vertical and five squares horizontal.

2. At the outer four squares, draw a line from the point on the inner edge to the point on the inner edge of the outer square non both sides. This will make a triangle between the middle squares of each side of the cross. Draw a line in the center of each triangle from the outside edge to the corner of the inner square (the first square drawn)

3. Cut out the shape only cutting the outside lines. The shape is a cross with the triangles which make a square shape if held at an angle (study the picture) Cut half slits on the same side of the outer square.

4. Fold on all the lines drawn pinching the triangles inside of the box. Transfer pattern to tag board and repeat with the tag board.

Tips & Warnings

• Use wrapping paper glued to the tag board or colored tag board for decorative boxes
• Can be made different sizes
