Always think things can and will get better. Keep this in mind. If you are constantly repeating this to yourself, you will see a changes in your way of looking at bad situations.

Don't let the small things get to you. Brush off small problems. Just say to yourself, "I'm not going to let thins little problem ruin my day!"

Try new things that you've thought about, but never tried doing. Incorporating change into your life makes it more fulfilling. Try bungee jumping or skiing, it's worth it.

Pray on a daily basis. There is really no better way of saying it. This is very importat in staying optimistic, which I really can not stress.

For the most part, think positive, be around positive people, and try new things are great ways to stay optimistic.
