Things You'll Need:
- Screwdriver Elmer’s Wood Glue C-clamp Protective Goggles
-
Step 1
Put on your protective goggles! With a screwdriver force open the split slowly. Remember don't force it quickly cause you can make the split worse.
-
Step 2
After the split is open, fill the split with the Elmer’s wood glue. Be careful how much glue you use. Any excess glue, make sure to remove it with a papertowel or cloth. Don't allow the glue to dry before you move to the next step.
-
Step 3
To bring the split back together use a C-clamp. This is the most important part, so make sure to apply the clamp right. Make sure to get the right size to accompany your chair. After the glue has harden remove the clamp and paint the chair your desired color.

on 8/16/2009 Thank you for the instructions. This will be much more attractive than my grandfather's way of mounds of scotch tape.
