Things You'll Need:
- High speed Internet
-
Step 1
Practice your rugby kicks in Eddie O'Sullivan's Rugby Ball (see Resources). In this free rugby simulation, players acquire points by kicking the ball through the goal posts from different angles and distances. The points will vary based upon the distance of the kick and the wind speed. You will be able to attempt kicks from five different places. At the end of the game, you can save your score by signing up for a free account on the website.
-
Step 2
Try the Johnny Wilkinson's online rugby game (see Resources). This free online rugby game is similar to the game listed in Step 1 in that you must make kicks through the goal posts in order to advance. The biggest difference is that there is both a power and accuracy meter that must be precisely used in order to make the kicks. Unlike Eddie O'Sullivan's Rugby Ball, you cannot save your scores in this game.
-
Step 3
Play the Online Rugby Game on Clever Code (see Resources). Clever Code's game is the simplest of the four games listed here. Players must use both the mouse and keyboard during this 3-on-3 rugby simulation. The game resembles an older Atari game so it may take you awhile to get used to the computer's movements in the game.
-
Step 4
Visit the Rugby Challenge website (see References). In Rugby Challenge, you face off against the computer in end-of-the-game situations, such as having to score in the final 20 seconds of the match. The challenges increase as you make your way through Rugby Challenge, with the final objective being to win a "free bet" from the website. Completion of this offer, though, is not necessary in order to play this game.
