How to Draw the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox From Naruto Shippuden
The character and star of the animated series Naruto has a terrible secret. He is possessed by a powerful demon that takes the form of a nine-tailed fox. Naruto derives much of his strength from this sinister connection but it is also incredibly dangerous. Once you have created an illustration of this monster you can hang it proudly on your wall, or give it to a close friend who shares your love of Naruto.

Draw the frame of the demon with simple shapes. Use a circle for the head and a rectangle for the chest. Add two smaller circles to the left and right of the head for shoulders. Create the hips with a small upside down triangle. Add the arms with two vertical lines coming down from the shoulders. Create elbows with two small circles in the middle of the arms. Draw the hands with two small triangles. Add the legs with two diagonal lines coming out of the hips. Draw the knees with two circles and attach the lower legs with two diagonal lines. Create the feet with two triangles.

Flesh out the form of the demon by drawing parallel lines around the arms, legs and chest. Add claws to the hands with four curved triangular shapes. Add claws to the feet with three curved triangular shapes. Draw parallel lines around each of the tail guidelines. Add the tongue with an upside down triangle attached to the bottom of the mouth. Add the eyes with two dark triangles on the horizontal line of the facial guideline.

Color the demon fox using art markers. Color the body orange and the tongue pink. Add shadows below the head, on the bottom of each leg and on the bottom side of each tail using a brown marker. Let the marker dry and add yellow highlights with a colored pencil to the outer sides of the arms, the tops of the ears and the top of each leg.

Tips & Warnings
Try posing the nine-tailed demon fox in different ways after you master drawing the basic form.
Be sure to let the ink dry thoroughly before erasing the pencil, or the illustration will smudge.
