Cranberries are a traditional New England fruit that is enjoyed in many different ways. This New England cranberry vinaigrette is great as a salad dressing or marinate for a zingy tasteful meal. Either way you use it your sure to enjoy it.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Shallots
  • Egg yolk
  • Orange juice
  • Lemon juice
  • Soy oil
  • Frozen cranberries
  • Grenadine
  • Cranberry vinegar
  1. Step 1

    This is a fun way to bring that bitter sweet flavor of cranberries to your salad or meat during the holiday season. Turkey and cranberry sauce go hand and hand, so why not add that flavor to a nice cold salad.

  2. Step 2

    2 egg yolks
    1 ½ tsp. diced shallots
    6 oz. cranberry vinegar
    ½ cup orange juice
    1 tablesp. Lemon juice (fresh)
    1 pt. Soy oil
    ½ cup frozen cranberries (thawed)
    2 tablesp. Grenadine

  3. Step 3

    In a large non reactive bowl, combine the egg yolks, shallots, cranberry vinegar, orange juice, and lemon juice. With a large whisk, whisk lightly to incorporate the ingredients. While whisking slowly add the soy oil make sure to have a steady hand. Mix until fully combined. Add the cranberries and grenadine for color. Serve over a cold salad or marinate over chicken, steak or pork.
