How to Join Chat Sessions With AT&T Yahoo Messenger

AT&T Yahoo! Messenger is an instant messaging application that can be used to instant message friends, send emails and conduct Internet phone calls. The application includes a chat feature that allows users to gather in chat rooms and talk about topics in real time.

Instructions

1. Double-click on the Yahoo! Messenger icon located on your desktop or in your icon tray. Log in using your Yahoo! user name and password.

2. Click "Messenger" on the main menu bar and choose "Yahoo! Chat."

3. Select "Join a Room." Click on your Yahoo! user name or pick an alias from the "Enter as" drop-down menu.

4. Click on a chat-room topic category located in the left-hand section of the screen.

5. Double-click on a chat-room name located in a list of available rooms on the right-hand side of the screen. You will enter the chat session as soon as the room loads on the screen.
