Swear words aren't nice, but sometimes necessary.

Yes, I know, swearing isn't nice. But sometimes it's necessary and nevertheless it's always fun to see how they express themselves in other parts of the world.

Read on to learn some common German swear words, phrass and their meanings.

  1. Step 1

    The German word for swearing is 'Das Fluchen' and the Germans have many swear words grouped in a few different categories.

  2. Step 2

    Gott verdammt - God Damnit.
    alte Hexe - old witch
    Miezen - young broads, girls. Deragatory
    Schlampe - 'loose' woman

  3. Step 3

    Tunte - fairy, queer (gay)

  4. Step 4

    Faschos - fascists
    Glatzen - skinheads
    Neonazis - neo-Naziz

    Asseln/Assis/Asoziale - anti - socials
    Gutmenschen - religious do-gooders

  5. Step 5

    There are many more swear words in German, but I won't go into the worst of them here. You can Google 'How to Swear in German' to find many more, and many worse words.
