Looking for a way to cool down? Try some delicious homemade frozen yogurt. This recipe is strawberry flavored, but you can always switch up the fruits for a new flavor. Frozen yogurt is also an excellent substitute for ice cream. Does this Spark an idea?

  • 5 Strawberries
  • 1 Plain yogurt sm.
  • 2 Tbsp. of sugar
  • 1 Lemon wedge

Instructions

      Purchase some fresh strawberries and give them a good wash. Make sure you remove the stems afterward.

      Cut the strawberries and place them in a blender. Blend until pureed.

      Add the yogurt, and the sugar to the blender. Squeeze the juice from one lemon wedge in to the blender. Blend until combined.

      Set the strawberry yogurt mixture in a bowl and cover it with plastic wrap. Place it in the freezer for two hours. You can also make this dessert in the morning and allow it to sit the freezer until you are ready to serve it after dinner.

      Remove the yogurt from the freezer and serve with a fresh strawberry for decoration.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use raspberries instead.

  • Add a quarter of a banana to the blender and make strawberry banana frozen yogurt.

  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different fruits. It is really hard to mess up this recipe.
