Pool table lighting can completely improve the atmosphere of your game room, and can act as the center piece to your new pool table. Finding the right pool table light may take some time and research, but can increase the value of your games room if done right. Effective pool table lights can be simple and inexpensive or complex and costly. Here are some step to follow when finding the right pool table light.

1. Make sure you are looking for the right size light for your pool table. You typically want the pool table lights main focus to be on the pool table, yet you also want the pool table light to be a nice back light to the game room so that you can have all other lights off except for the pool table light while you play, this adds a great affect to the atmosphere.

2. Have the pool table light style that you buy be consistent with the theme of your game room. For example if you have a wet bar and an old style wester theme you don't want to purchase a modern pool table light.

3. See if the company that you buy your pool table light from will install the light if you purchase it from them. Typically you can find a company that will install your pool table light for free, depending upon the price. The reason I would ask for the installation to be done professionally is because most of the time the pool table that you situate in your room will not be directly above where you need the pool table light to hang.
