      Catch yourself before your negative thinking gets out of control. Do not allow it to continue running through your mind. Better yet, stop it before it develops.

      Remind yourself of the positive things in your life that you are thankful for. Just when negativity begins to stake it's claim, in your world, fill your mind with positive and happy thoughts. Perhaps you have children or a loved on that you could think of, or a fond memory or an exciting event that is about to take place. The only power that negative thinking has in your life is the power that you give it.

      Remember to dream and redirect yourself when need be. Remind yourself that time does not stand still and this moment will pass quickly. Every moment passes in an instance. Something wonderful could happen at any moment.

      Stay away from the negative energy in your life, such as negative people. If you surround yourself with negative people, negativity will have a safe haven in your environment. Do not permit negative energy to set up fort in your world.

      Eliminate anger from your world. If something or someone makes your angry then simply steer clear of them. You either own negative thinking or not. Do not allow it to own you.
