If you enjoy decorating for Halloween you will most certainly want to place a few tombstones around your lawn. It is simple to make tombstones out of sheets of foam. Below are simple instructions for making your very own spooky tombstones.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

First you will need to locate a few supplies. You will need a sheet of foam which is usually sold in 4'x8' pieces and can be purchased at most building supply stores. As well you will need a hack saw, roll of duct tape, hot glue gun, PVC pipe and a wood carving tool.

  2. Step 2

Place duct tape on the hack saw blade to provide a slip free grip on the foam. Cut out a 32" piece of foam to begin working with.

  3. Step 3

Draw out the shape of a tombstone on the 32" foam piece.

  4. Step 4

Using the hack saw cut out the tombstone shape.

  5. Step 5

You can spray paint the tombstone any color. Grey works nicely.

  6. Step 6

Use a children's wood-burning tool to carve out whatever writing you wish to have on your stone.

  7. Step 7

Hot glue a piece of PVC pipe to the back of the Halloween tombstone so that it can be placed free standing in your yard. WA la! You now have your very own customized, spooky Halloween tombstone lawn decoration.
