Instructions

    • 1

Purchase the Ceramic Bisque for the face. Can be purchased on ebay under the search of "Ceramic Bisque Drifter Tree", or maybe at your local ceramic store.

    • 2

Use a brown acrylic paint to basecoat all your pieces. Paint can be found at your local department store, and comes in little plastic bottles about 4 inches tall with a flip up plastic lid.

    • 3

Use beige or a tan color next to drybrush the round portions of the eyes, tip area of the nose, and center area of the mouth.

    • 4

Use green for the eyes, along with black for the pupil area of the eyes.

    • 5

Use a lighter shade of brown to drybrush the wood areas of the eyes, nose, and mouth.

    • 6

Spray seal with a matte finish. High gloss sprays don't look well, because I real tree is not shiny, and you want the facial features to appear that it's a part of your trees. Spray sealers can also be purchased at your local department store.

Insert two nails for the eyes, one nail for the nose, and one nail for the mouth, positioning them properly on the tree, and then hang your pieces on the tree. A real conversation piece, and your friends will absolutely love them. Looks really nice in backyards around picnic areas.
