This easy cherry dessert recipe is simple to make and delicious. Since the recipe calls for canned cherry pie filling, you can make it year round. It makes a large dessert in a 9 x 13 pan.It only takes 20 minutes to make the crust of this dessert, so it is pretty quick to make it.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 stick oleo or butter
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 pint Cool Whip
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 2 cans cherry pie filling
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  1. Step 1

    To make this easy cherry dessert assemble all of the ingredients. In a 9 x 13 inch pan mix 2 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 1/2 sticks oleo or butter, and chopped nuts until crumbly.

    Press the ingredients into the pan and bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Set aside and cool.

    Mix together 1 pint of Cool Whip topping and 1 (8 ounce) package of cream cheese. Mix in 2 cups powdered sugar and spread onto the curst. Top with the 2 cans of cherry pie filling.

    Refrigerate until ready to serve.
