Things You'll Need:
- 2 lemons (sliced)
- 2 cups of hot water
- Glass or enamel saucepan
- Cheesecloth
- Strainer
- Pump-type spray bottle
-
Step 1
Try lemon hair spray - It's so easy to make!Be natural – and adventurous. If you’ve never made your own natural haircare products, you’re in for a wonderful treat that is so healthy for your hair, and adds shine.
-
Step 2
Put the lemons and hot water into your saucepan over high heat. When the water comes to a boil, reduce the heat. Simmer until the water has reduced by half. Remove your lemon hair spray from the heat and allow the mixture to cool completely.
-
Step 3
Line your strainer with cheesecloth, and strain the mixture to remove the lemons and the pulp. You can squeeze the last of the lemon juice out of the cheesecloth, if you wish.
-
Step 4
Pour the strained liquid into the spray bottle. Always keep lemon hair spray (and all natural hair care products you make) in the refrigerator.

on 9/9/2009 I have used lemons for lightening the hair but not hair spray. I will have to try this one day. That spray recipe will also work for removing fleas from cats or dogs naturally too. LOL 5* God bless.

on 8/17/2009 I love lemons and I love women who adorn their heads (in wreaths, no less), so needless to say, I'm glad I clicked on this!

on 8/16/2009 I've never heard of using it as a hair spray. I like to use several (essential oil) lemon drops along with my shampoo when washing my hair, which also works well. Thanks for thr great article... 5*****
