It is always fun to pack the kids up in the car and take a little road trip but as you know, as soon as you pull out of the driveway they want a snack. I have learned the hard way on what snacks to bring and what snacks are just better left at home. Here are some tips on packing non messy snacks that will keep the kids happy and the car clean!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • snacks
  • wipes
  • garbage bags
  1. Step 1

First the snacks the you DO NOT want to bring is anything with chocolate. It will melt and get all over the place! Also leave the Cheetos at home! The last thing you need is cheesy orange fingers touching everything. Gum is another thing that you should not give the kids, you know they are going to be fooling around the gum is going to end up on the floor or in someone's hair.

  2. Step 2

GOOD choices for snacks would be fruit, seedless grapes. sliced strawberries, blueberries, raisins, craisins and apple slices. Goldfish crackers are another great snack to bring. Dried fruit is yummy and so is string cheese as long as you have a cooler. Mini bagels in different flavors and the small boxes of cereal would work too. Don't forget carrot sticks, celery sticks and cucumber slices.

Of course you will need drinks! Water would be the best. If it does spill it can be cleaned up the easiest.

  3. Step 3

You will also need to pack hand wipes in the car, a pack of baby wipes would work great. Please don't forget a trash bag for all the garbage. That way the car will stay clean as you travel.
The most important thing is to remember to have fun! If something does spill, it will be cleaned, try not to worry too much.

Tips & Warnings
  • Pack a cooler for the cold snacks.
