Rose oil doesn't come cheap, but you may want to look for rose oil and the other essential oils at the health store markets, such as, Wild Oats, Whole Foods, Henry's, and other health markets that carry NOW products. They are 1/3 the price in pure essential oils and work wonders, in fact, NOW products are excellent overall. Essential oils are oils that will last a long long time. You can make your sprays and perfume oils over and over again. It only takes a few drops and it goes a long way. There are many uses for essential oils too, such as, creams, lotions, air fresheners, body sprays and you can add essential oils to your shampoos, conditioners and hair care products or skin care products. As far as, olive oil and distilled water, you can buy that anywhere.

I recommend using three essential oils products, because of the synchronicity and affectiveness in bringing three or more essential oil scents together. A woody scent from trees, a flower scent from the petals of flowers and a citrus scent from fruit. Sandalwood is a sweet woody smell, rose oils is floral and sweet and citrus flavors such as, Bergamot are sweet as well.

In a 4 oz bottle add in equal parts, first add:
    Sandalwood 3 drops
    Bergamot 3 drops
Rose oil or Rosewood 3 drops.
You can substitute rose for Jasmine oil. 3 drops
then depending on the scent you prefer such as, if its a male add a few more drops of sandalwood, if its a female add a few more drops of rose or jasmine oil. Instead of 3 drops add three more drops. Shake it and smell it. You can do this for yourself by adding more of the scent you prefer. Leave the Bergamot alone because it is strong and carries its own scent with just a small amount. Once you add the oils then add the olive oil for you and leave a little room at the top so you can add a little more rose oil or jasmine oil. Do the same for the spray bottle, firs add the oils then add the distilled water leaving some room to add more or less of rose or sandalwood for a stronger scent. You can spray the oils on to a cloth then rub it on your pet or add to the pet shampoo.

  4. Step 4

    Benefits:
Rose oil-relieves, stress, burning and itchy feeling, boosts confidence, feminine hygience and relaxant.
    Jasmine-euphoric, stimulant, stress, depression, sensuality
Sandalwood-skin irritations and calms down nerves
Bergamot-delicate, citrus floral scent. Antiseptic, tonic, astringent, anxiety, depression and stress.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep your sprays and bottles in a cool place when working with pure natural essential oils from plants. Otherwise, they will lose their effectiveness.
  • Shake Well before each use.
  • Dark bottles are best to use.
  • Reuse the bottles to keep adding more of one essential for that smell to be dominant. If your dog is male a little more sandalwood is best. If you enjoy the rose oil more than add a few drops more than the other oils.
  • They are safe and natural for all your pets. Try a little bit first wait an hour and see your pet's reaction. You can also put it on a cloth, and rub it on the coat, instead of spraying it, especially if the pet is sensitive.
  • When washing the pet you can add it to the shampoo as well. Depending on the size of the pet a quarter size or half that for smaller pets.
  • Let your nose do the better judgment here. Follow your nose.
