How to Waterproof any Fabric
Any type of fabric can be waterproofed. It is easier to waterproof breathable fabric but any kind of fabric will work. It only takes a few easy steps to waterproof any fabric and does not cost a lot of money. Does this Spark an idea?

Clean the fabric as is recommended per the manufacturer of the fabric. Try to use a cleaner that has no dyes or perfumes as this may effect the water proofer. Make sure the fabric is completely dry before water proofing.

Hand the fabric up or lay flat to apply the water proofer. It will be easier to apply the water proofer if the fabric is hanging up. Be sure to spray all surfaces that you want waterproof and let the water proofer completely dry as per the manufacturer guidelines.

Repeat applying the water proofer to be sure that all surfaces are covered. Make completely sure the water proofer is dry before use the fabric. If the fabric has to be washed/cleaned, it will most likely have to be water proofed again

Tips & Warnings
Use water proofer with silicone as it will last longer.
Be sure to work in a well ventilated area.
