How to Make a Garden Fungicide From Inexpensive Household Ingredients

This article will tell you how to make an inexpensive, effective, and safe garden fungicide from common household ingredients. It can be used in place of more expensive commercial fungicides or when commercial fungicides are not available. The fungicide is made from common household ingredients that will not harm people, pets, plants or the environment. It is easy and quick to mix and spray.

Things You'll Need

• Baking Soda
• Vegetable Oil
• Liquid Dish Washing Soap
• Garden Sprayer
• Water
• Tablespoon measuring device

Instructions

1. Mix one (1) Tablespoon each of baking soda, vegetable oil, and liquid dish washing detergent with one gallon of water in a garden sprayer. Any type of garden sprayer should work. I use a small hand pump type sprayer that is easy to find at any garden store or department store that sells garden supplies.

2. Shake solution to mix the ingredients. It is important to keep the ingredients mixed thoroughly so continue to shake the solution often while spraying.

3. Spray on areas of your lawn or garden that is affected by fungus. The fungicide can be used on lawns and on vegetables, and ornamental plants in your landscape. One gallon of this home remedy fungicide will cover/treat approximately 1000 square feet.
