How to Get Perfect Eyebrows Now

Things You'll Need
- Mascara-style brush
- Brow scissors
- White eyeliner pencil
- Slant-tipped tweezers
- Needle-nose tweezers
- Brow pencil
- Petroleum jelly
- Small eye makeup brush

Brush your brow hairs upward towards your hairline using the mascara-style brush.

Trim any excessively long hairs or hairs that are growing down toward your eye with brow scissors. If you do not have brow scissors, you can use a small pair of grooming scissors. Do not use large paper-cutting scissors. Brush your eyebrow hair back into place.

Draw your desired eyebrow shape onto your brow with a white eyeliner pencil. This will act as a guide as you shape your brows. The arch should be over the iris of your eye. The eyebrow should start over the corner of your eye where your tear duct is and should end over the outside corner of your eye above the eyelashes.

Start shaping your brows from the bottom of the brow. Tweeze the thicker hairs with the slant-tipped tweezers. Use the needle-nose tipped tweezers on shorter hairs that may be harder to reach. Work slowly and tweeze the hairs one at a time to ensure that you are keeping to your desired shape.

Tweeze the hairs between the two brows.

Fill in your brow with a coordinating brow pencil after you have finished shaping your eyebrows. Women with blond brows should select a brow pencil that matches the darkest brow hairs, to add definition to the brow. Women whose hair is going gray should stick with a taupe-colored pencil. Redheads should choose a sable-colored pencil. Brunettes need to choose a shade lighter than their hair color to soften the brow.

Lightly swipe a small eye makeup brush in a dab of petroleum jelly and brush it across your brows. This will add shine and definition to the brows. It also helps the hairs to stay in place.

Tips & Warnings
Tweeze after a shower for less pain. The skin will be less resistant as you pluck.
Hold the skin taut as you pluck. This reduces the pull on the skin and cuts down on pain.
