How to Play the Drinking Game "Circle of Death"
The drinking game "Circle of Death," also known as "Kings," is popular among college students and barkeepers. Although the rules vary slightly from region to region, each version requires a deck of cards. The object of the game is to drink and dispense drinks evenly among all players. Once you learn the basic structure of the game, you can create your own variation for parties.

1
Stock your refrigerator with beer or other alcoholic beverages to ensure that everyone has enough to drink to last the game. Each player will have his own drink for the duration of the game.
-
2
Spread the cards face-down in a circle and place the cup in the middle of the circle.
-
-
3
Designate someone to draw a card from the circle.
-
4
Take a swallow of your drink when you draw a red card with the numbers two through six.
-
5
Order others to drink when you draw a black card with the numbers two through six. Multiply the number by two to get a total of swigs, then assign them to one or multiple people.
-
6
Assign one swig to each woman when someone draws a seven.
-
7
Assign one swig to each man when someone draws an eight.
-
8
Begin a rhyme circle when a player draws a nine. The player says a word, and every other player must come up with a word that rhymes with the initial word. Proceed clockwise until someone fumbles or repeats a word. That person must take a drink.
-
9
Assign a drink to the person to your left if you draw a ten.
-
10
Assign a drink to the person to your right when you draw a jack.
-
11
Name items in a category when someone draws a queen. For example, the person who draws the queen picks the category "Beatles songs." Each player, going clockwise, must name a Beatles song. The person who fails to name a song must drink.
-
12
Pour part of your drink into the center cup when you draw a king -- unless you have drawn the fourth king. In that case, you must drink the contents of the cup.
-
13
Initiate a "waterfall" when you draw an ace. After you begin drinking your beverage, the person to your left must begin drinking. Continue this pattern around the table until everyone is drinking. End the waterfall in the same manner, with players lowering their drinks in consecutive order.
