how to make absolutly delicious peanut butter cookie bars topped with chocolate

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 package of peanut butter cookie mix, 1 bag of semi-sweet milk chocolate chips, a bag of candy (for decoration), such as M&M's, sprinkles, red hots, etc., a 9x13 baking pan,a bowl
  1. Step 1

First you follow the mixing directions on the package of cookie mix. Once you have done that spread the mix evenly at the bottom of the pan. You bake it for approximately 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

  2. Step 2

While the cookie mix is baking, pour your bag of chocolate chips in your bowl and melt them in the microwave in 20 second intervals, stirring in between until melted. Once the cookie bar mix is finished, remove from oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes.

  3. Step 3

Finally you pour and spread the chocolate mixture over the cookie mix evenly. Then you take a pizza cutter and cut the bars while in the pan in 3x3 inch bars. Once you have done this you decorate the bars with whatever candy or sprinkles you like. I personally like to decorate them to match the occasion, such as red and green M&M's at Christmas or marshmallow bunnies at Easter. Then you place the entire pan into the refrigerator for about 30 minutes so that the chocolate can harden. Your finished. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you decorate before you place in fridge or the candy will not form into the chocolate thus the candy will fall off.
  • Always use caution when using your stove so you don't get burned.
