User-Submitted Article

Vacations, road trips and getaways do no have to halt your exercise routine or your quest to lose weight. Many think that just because you are away from home it gives you an excuse to not work out or stick to your weight loss plan. This is not true! Do not gain unwanted pounds while you are away from home. Follow these easy steps to exercise on the road.

Difficulty: Easy

Instructions

  1. 1

If you are staying in a hotel without a gym, you can do exercises in your room. In the morning, do push-ups, sit-ups and squats. Exercise on the road by doing these every morning.

  2. 2

You can use a chair for triceps lifts and squats.

  3. 3

Use a phone book to do calf raises, step routines and bicep curls.

  4. 4

Instead of using an elevator, walk the stairs.

  5. 5

When traveling, flex your ab muscles and release during your car, plane, train or bus ride.

Try the best you can to stick to your diet. If you cannot, do not overindulge in food.
