Things You'll Need

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4-tsp. milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp. butter
  • 1 slice of cheese

Instructions

      Scramble two eggs in a bowl with 1/4-tsp. of milk.

      Add a dash of salt and black pepper to taste.

      Melt the butter in a medium skillet on medium-high heat.

      Pour in the egg mixture once the butter is melted and has begun to sizzle and cook until the sides begin to thicken and become puffy.

      Add a slice of cheese on top of the eggs once they begin to bubble.

      Flip one half of the egg mixture over the other half with a spatula to create a semicircle. When the omelet begins to thicken, flip it over to finish cooking the other side. Check to see that it's fully cooked by testing the omelet with a fork.

Tips & Warnings

  • Provolone, Swiss or American cheese work well; you can use grated cheese instead of a slice if you prefer.
