Things You'll Need:
- two eggs
- butter
- 1 slice of cheese
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 tsp milk
-
Step 1
Scramble two eggs in a bowl add the 1/4 teaspoon of milk and continue to scramble.
-
Step 2
Add a dash of salt and black pepper (optional)into the egg mixture.
-
Step 3
In a medium sized pan or skillet heat half a teaspoon of the butter. Make sure it does not burn.
-
Step 4
Once there is a little sizzle and the butter is melted pour in the eggs. Let sit until the sides begin to thicken(get puffed).
-
Step 5
The egg mixture will bubble. At this point gently put the slice of cheese on top of the egg.(you can use provolone,Swiss or American cheese. Another idea is to use grated cheese too.
-
Step 6
With a spatula flip one half of the egg mixture over the other half. This creates a half moon shape. The egg mixture will thicken. Do not let it sit for too long because the egg will burn. Now take the whole omelet and flip over to the other side until cooked. To ensure that the egg is fully cooked poke a few holes into the egg with a fork.
-
Step 7
Turn off the pan and pick up the omelet gently(using spatula) and slide it into a plate. Serve with tomato slices on the side. Enjoy
