Things You'll Need:
- a floor
- dumbbells
- a pull-up bar
-
Step 1
Before you begin working out, always stretch the area you intend to work on. Stretch your arms for a few minutes. You may also want to give your chest a stretch as well.
-
Step 2
The first triceps strengthening exercise is push-ups. Push-ups work out your chest, abs, and triceps. Put your toes and palms on the floor, with your legs and chest above the ground. Bend your elbows into a 90 degree angle, and then straighten them again. This is how a push-up is done. To get more details on how to do a proper push-up, read my article How to Do a Perfect Push-Up.
-
Step 3
Pull-ups are another simple exercise that workout your triceps. Grab a pull-up bar with both of your hands. Pull yourself up by bending your elbows. These are very difficult to do. If you are not able to complete a full pull-up, then just hold yourself on the bar. This is just as good an exercise.
-
Step 4
For this exercise, you will need two dumbbells. Hold one in each of your hands and lift them straight up above your head. Keeping your arms in place, bend your elbows back behind your head. Your hands should go down to your neck. Then pull them back up.
