Organize Power Cords
Organize Power Cords

Is trying to find the power cord to your cell phone or Nintendo DSi like untangling a giant ball of Christmas lights? Keep all of your accessories organized with this simple, inexpensive project.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Over the Door Shoe Organizer
  • Peel and Stick Labels
  • Computer & Printer OR Markers
  1. Step 1

Choose which items will be included and make labels. Each item should have its own pocket (Mom's cell phone, Dad's cell phone, headphones, Jake's camera, etc.) For little ones that don't read yet, use pictures. They can still put things away by matching the picture to the item.

  2. Step 2

Apply labels to the pockets of the organizer. Pockets should be labeled according to each child's height, if kids will be using it. Even the youngest kids can help if their pockets are at eye level.

  3. Step 3

Hang the organizer up and put cords in appropriate pockets. We hang ours in the kitchen/living room on the back of a door that's always open. This way, it's accessible but hidden.

Tips & Warnings
  • Extra pockets? Keep by the door and include keys or sunglasses.
  • Do not let children hang on the organizer.
  • Hanging brackets are included for door-use only, do not hang on wall, etc. unless properly supported.
