Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Cedar chips are a deterant to fleas. Placing these with a dog could be harful since dogs are chewers. Try placing them around your fence line to keep the pesty bugs out of your yard

  2. Step 2

Diatomaceous Earth. DE is made of crushed fossil from freshwater organism or marine life. The fleas have a waxy coating on them to help keep from dehydrating. The DE will break through this waxy coating causing the fleas to dehydrate and eventually die. This can also be placed around fence lines. However this doesn't work if the product gets wet, so you will need to reapply after rain.

  3. Step 3

Mowing your grass will help reduce in the amount of fleas you will have. Be sure to have your dogs in a fenced in area to keep your dogs and other's dogs from visiting. This will help with spreading the fleas from one neighbor to another.
