How to Successfully Tear off a Piece of Aluminum Foil

I have always gotten frustrated while trying to tear off a piece of aluminum foil. The whole roll would come out of the box and sometimes getting that roll back in the box is not easy an thing to do. I didn't notice something about the box itself and I have been using foil for years. How many of us really look at the packaging that products come in. The name brand aluminum foil has the tabs on the box but aren't clearly marked. Therefore, I have missed this little helpful hint.

Things You'll Need:

• One box of aluminum foil.
• Look at each end of the box.
• Press the little tabs in.
• The roll of foil is now secure inside the box.
• The roll now should stay inside the box while pulling out the desired amount needed.

1. Get your box of foil out and look at both ends of the box.

2. Notice the tabs on both ends of the box. Push these tabs in.

3. The roll of foil should now be secure inside the box. Test by pulling out a length of foil. If the roll stays inside the box, you have successfully secured the roll by pushing the tabs in.

Tips & Warnings

• For years I had no idea that these tabs were on the box. To sum it up, we should take a closer look at the products we buy.
• Be careful of the serrated edge. These are very sharp and can cut fingers.
