Check are becoming a thing of the past, but if you are like me and you are still writing checks as a form of payments, it would be wise not to write a bounce check, a bad or bounced check is due to insufficient funds in your account, a check that will return through your bank marked No Funds, signifies that the check is worthless, and you will have to pay for it or you may go to jail.

Keeping up with the balance in your checking account can be done, there's a variety of designs of checks available, whether you have premium checks or standard checks, select your favorite, record all checks, if you chose checks with carbon copies it is easier to keep up with your checks purchase, by keeping a copy for your own personal records.

Post all your deposits, and have a back-up plan, if you have a saving account make sure that if there are not enough funds in your checking account you will have enough money in your saving to cover the checks that you have written. If you know you don't have the funds to cover your check in your checking or saving it would be best not to write the check at all.
