How to Track a USPS Package(s) thumbnail
You can track the progress of most packages through the U.S. Postal Service delivery system.

Most U.S. Postal Service shipments are given a unique tracking number that will allow you to track the parcel from its point of origin to your destination. If you are the sender of a package, you will receive a tracking number at the point of shipment. If you are the recipient, you will need to contact the sender to get the tracking number that will be your key to tracking your shipment's progress.

Instructions

    • 1

Contact the seller of the merchandise that you are having delivered thru the USPS mail. Ask them what the order tracking number is. Make sure you write it down. Repeat it back to the retailer so that you are sure that all of the tracking numbers are correct.

    • 2

Go to your personal computer. Open up a browser window and type USPS.com into the tool bar, or click the link in the References section. Hit "enter" or click "go".

    • 3

Look to the right of the screen once you are there and you should see a place where you can enter your order tracking number. It should say "track and confirm".

    • 4

Enter all of your USPS tracking numbers. Double-check your typing and then click "go". You will then be taken to a screen where you can view and track your personal shipment information. You should be able to see your order number and where it has been tracked since the beginning of shipment. The location of scan and item should all show up on the screen.
