Several ways to get rid of ants or other pests without using poison to harm your animals you do want around!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Here are a few simple remedies that will get rid of ants without poison! This will leave your animals healthy and far from poison.

Get some instant grits from the store and follow the ants to their mound or the place where they are entering. Sprinkle the instant grits on the mound where the ants will eat them. The grits will then expand in the ants stomach and cause the pesty ants to die.

  2. Step 2

Use baby powder around the infested area by sprinkling it on and around the ants. This will cause the ants to get upset and start to head back to their mound and stay far from you. If you choose, follow the ants to their mound and sprinkle baby powder inside the mound so that it will kill of the entire farm. This will prevent the ants from coming back and becoming a pest.

  3. Step 3

Mix 50/50 apple cider vinegar and water into a spray bottle to detour ants. Spray several times a day onto the problem area where ants are infesting. Ants guide themselves with their scent and apple cider vinegar alters the ants scent which is why the ant will avoid any area sprayed with the apple cider vinegar.
Following these helpful steps ants will keep themselves far from you and never will become a pest again!
