How to Write A Great Wedding Thank You Card
A thank you card for a wedding gift is required for every gift you receive. It's a way of letting the sender know you received the gift and that you appreciate it. Formal etiquette suggests you have up to a year, but your wedding guests will be worried that you didn't receive their gift the longer you wait. However, finding the right way to express your gratitude can be overwhelming.

1
Address the gift giver by name and her for the gift. It's critical to be specific about what you received. Let the guest know what you are planning on doing with it, if applicable.
-
2
Personalize the note by letting the guest know how happy you were happy to see her at the wedding, if the guest attended. If the gift was sent and the sender was unable to attend the wedding, let the sender know she was missed but you hope to see her soon.

End by letting the guest know what you are up to now, such as "we just returned from our honeymoon in Hawaii," or "we are just settling into our new house."
-
4
Thank the guest again for the gift and sign your new name.
