1. Never ask a girl out by a note. First of all if you ask a girl out by a note she can never be sure if it's really you who wrote it or one of your friends trying to be funny. She also might think it's you trying to be funny. Also writing a note makes it much more awkward when you finally have to talk to eachother and it gives the impression that you are shy and don't have the confidence to approach her in person.

2. Never have your friends ask a girl out. Again she cant be sure if it's a joke and it can be wierd for her because she will feel extra pressure from the friend who is asking. Also it gives the same impression of shyness and lack of confidence.

3. Try not to ask a girl out on the phone or through texts. If you are really shy asking a girl out on the phone is probably your second best option because it's you talking directly to her though not in person.

on 8/13/2009 Yes..i do agree with you. A phone can be a great way to ask a girl out(or a guy) but it all depends on the relationship.

on 8/12/2009 I don't see a problem with asking a girl (or a guy for that matter) on a date through the phone. I mean, it's easier that way - you call to chat, you suggest a date, the time and place is planned and boom!
I do agree about the notes or friends. I think a letter is a really sweet idea if you've known this persn for a long time and maybe they recognize your handwriting, but having a friend ask out a girl is just cowardly.
