You aren't unattractive, you are a funny guy and you make a lot of money. So what gives? Not only do men need to know how to ask out a woman, they should also know what keeps a girl from saying yes.

1. 

   Wait for the right moment, not when she is distracted.

   Learn to wait for the right moment instead of letting your impatience get the best of you. Don't ask a girl out when she is stressed out at work or too busy to concentrate on you. It's best to notice when the girl is comfortable, happy and at ease. Catching her while she is laughing at your joke is superb timing and shows she is already enjoying her time with you.

2. 

   Lack of confidence is a turn-off to women.

   Refuse a lack of confidence in your approach. Be direct when you ask the girl out instead of wishy-washy and uncertain. Lack of confidence is unattractive to a female. Avoid using lines like "I was wondering if at some point you might like to hang out somewhere." Know exactly where you want to go and what you want to do and let her know that you are asking her on a date instead of just a vague "hang out" time.

3. Avoid going overboard when asking her out. Renting a billboard or hiring a skywriter will only create a build-up of panic and make you even more nervous. Ease into the question so it doesn't overwhelm her or intimidate her. Getting flamboyant with your presentation might scare her instead of attracting her, so keep it simple.

4. 

   Don't make her think you are a creepy stalker.

   Avoid being creepy. Don't stare at a woman for weeks because you are nervous about asking her out -- she might get the wrong idea and think you are the stalker-type or someone with severe social issues. This is not playing hard-to-get. Women want a man who knows what they want when they see it. Be charming and funny, and when you see her eating out of your hand, go ahead and ask her out.
