Things You'll Need:
- Instant Vinyl (Transparent Adhesive)
-
Step 1
Locate the area where stitching has come free on the purse strap (or other area of the purse). Open your Instant Vinyl, and on a safe working surface, apply the cement to the area where you want held together. This cement is replacing the machine or hand sewing you would do to repair your purse.
-
Step 2
Gently press the vinyl pieces together and smooth. If it is your purse strap, gently wrap the glued pieces together with masking tape. Let dry for about 30 minutes. Be sure to leave this in an area free of small children and pets.
-
Step 3
After 30 minutes, or longer, remove the masking tape. Check the area you applied the instant vinyl. It should hold securely when completely dry (about 45 minutes or according to Instant Vinyl package instructions).
