Step 1
The first step to getting rid of the hiccups quickly is to swallow a teaspoon of dry sugar. Studies repeatedly show that swallowing a teaspoon full of dry sugar stops the hiccups very quickly.

When you are having an attack of the hiccups what is happening is that your diaphragm is having a muscle spasm. The second step to getting rid of the hiccups is to stop your diaphragm from having these muscle spasms by drinking a glass of water. If drinking the first glass of water does not stop the hiccups, then drink 1-2 more glasses and this should change your breathing pattern enough to stop the muscle spasm in your diaphragm.

The third step to getting rid of the hiccups is to breathe into a paper bag(make sure it is a paper bag NEVER a plastic bag). By breathing into a paper bag this is an effective way of altering your breathing pattern to stop the muscle spasm in your diaphragm which is causing the hiccups.

about $12.00 dollars @ health food store.I put 5 to 10 drops in water or hot tea.Also good for upset stomach WORKS GREAT I HAD HICCUPS FOR 12 HOURS!!! half glass later of Fennal & water GONE!!!
