My first stop for circus jobs is usually Cirque du Soleil's outstanding 'Careers' page: (http://www.cirquedusoleil.com/en/jobs/casting/home.aspx). No only do the fine folks at this multi-award-winning circus post their available positions in one easy-to-find location, they also have a detailed description of what each job entails, as well as interviews with people they've cast in the past. Got an unusual talent or a background in clowning? Run away with Cirque du Soleil!

Think about the names of circuses you saw when you were younger - what was that name again? Our local touring favorite was the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus. This famous company posts their job lists online at the Feld Entertainment Website and on CareerBuilder.com. Alternatively, you can send your demo and resume to Feld Entertainment's snail mail address:

Tips & Warnings
Remember: You don't have to be a contortionist or learn to swallow fire to find work at a circus! Circuses require administrative support, accountants, costume designers and sewers, animal tenders, and ticket takers...just find out what their needs are!
