Things You'll Need:
- Decorative aquarium rocks
- a tank or terrarium (you can get them for around $8)
- a flat platform.
- fish food
- a leafy aquarium plant(a fake one)
- pet moss (if you want)
- water
- obviously, snails!
-
Step 1
Wash out the aquarium or terrarium with warm water to get rid of any dust or dirt. If you snail's soon to be home has been used by other pets, then wash it out with a small amount of soap, or to kill smells, pine sol cleaner. Make sure to rinse it all out!
-
Step 2
Rinse the decorative rocks with warm water too. After you do that, place them in you snail's soon to be home.
-
Step 3
Move the rocks around with you hands so that there is a high hill on one side of the tank and a slant going down. This text might explain it __

Step 4
Now, place your flat rock on the lower area of your tank. Keep in mind that when we put water in this tank, this ledge should be slightly above water. If you want a lot of water in your tank, then you need to build up a mound of rocks to place the ledge on.
-
Step 5
Now, place your plant on the rock. Make sure that there will be enough room for fish food to be on the rock. Place some moss on the upper level of the tank. You might want to put some moss on the plant ledge too.
-
Step 6
Now we are going to add the water. You might want to try putting a bottle cap on the lower level of the tank, so when you pour in the water, it wont mess the rocks. Pour the water into the cap and let it over flow. Once the water level is millimeters away from deluging the plant ledge, stop pouring! Take the cap out, and throw it away.
-
Step 7
It is best to take a squirt bottle or a sponge and moisten the sides of the tank, and the plant ledge. Now sprinkle some fish food on the rock ledge. Your snails will eat this, and the leftovers will create sludge for them to eat too. Place your snails in the tank and watch them explore!
