How to Kill Rat's and Mice Safely

Ridding your house of rodents can be a pain. Rats can chew through wires and destroy insulation. Here are a few tips to get rid of those rats or mice in a hurry.

Things You'll Need

  • STICK-EM glue Traps
  • Seal any holes you have around your house that could be letting the rodents in. Where pipes enter your house, crawl spaces, and any other small openings a small animal could fit through. Rats can squeeze through spaces as small as a quarter of an inch. This step is important in keeping the rats out once you've controlled the problem inside.

  • Figure out where the rodents are spending most of their time. This can usually be accomplished by finding the highest concentration of feces( rat droppings). Rodents tend to run along walls and baseboards. They have poor vision and use their whiskers to sense objects on either side of them.

  • Buy a package of STICK-EM Rat and Mouse glue traps. Unlike conventional traps, they use a glue like substance to trap the rodents. No more worrying about hard to set spring traps. When the trap is full you can simply throw it out. The glue on the traps comes scented so you don't have to worry about putting peanut butter or other bait on the trap.

  • Place the traps in the predetermined areas. Simply dispose of the whole trap once it is full. If the trap goes empty for 2-3 days, that's a sign that no rodents are present in that area. Pick the trap up and move it to different location.
