Things You'll Need:
- 1 large pot for boiling water
- Salt
- Olive Oil
- 1 box of macaroni
- 1 bag of sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 bag of asiago cheese
- 1 quart of heavy whipping cream
- Basil
- Black pepper
- 1 bag of croutons
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 egg
-
Step 1
First you want to take a large pot of water and include about a 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 2 tablespoons of olive oil and bring to a boil. Once the water is boiling you will add a box of macaroni and stir. Bring that to a boil and then turn the fire down to medium, letting the macaroni boil for about 10 minutes. After the 10 minute boil, drain the macaroni in a strainer and set to the side.

Step 2
While the macaroni is draining, in a small mixing bowl whip your egg and then add 1 quart of the heavy whipping cream, 1 teaspoon of black pepper and mix ingredients well. In a separate small mixing bowl you are going to take your butter and melt it down adding the croutons and stirring until they are saturated. Take a larger mixing bowl adding your macaroni and pouring in your cream mixture and then add 3/4 of your bag of asiago cheese and 3/4 of your cheddar cheese and stir.

Step 3
Pour your macaroni mixture into a large glass baking dish and add the remainder of the cheese and croutons on top taking a spoon and slightly mixing the top enough for the cheese and croutons to blend in with the macaroni. Pour 1/2 cup of the heavy whipping cream over the top and sprinkle the top of the casserole lightly with basil and put in the oven to bake about 45 minutes @ 375 degrees. Depending on your oven if not quite ready in 45 minutes then bake until cheese is done on the top and croutons are toasted. Take out of the oven to cool for 5 to 10 minutes and then serve.
