Step 1
You can start RIGHT now earning money for your child's school. We all have to shop for school supplies, so why not start now. Most places you shop at offer programs for you local schools. You just have to take the time to ask at their customer service counters. If you are not getting an answer there, then ask to talk to a manager. Most managers can get that information for you.

Step 2
You can also go online to the stores websites. Most of them have a page where you can sign up your local school to get a certain percentage back by shopping at their stores. You can either shop online or at the local store. With all the clothes shopping you'll be doing for you child to get them ready for the school year, consider doing it online. This will allow for a greater percentage to be given to your local school. If you are having trouble figuring out how to sign your school up for these programs, then call their 800 number. Someone in their customer service will help you figure it all out.

Step 3
Another way to save your school money is to collect labels. I know that most of us don't like doing this, but it does help out your school in a big way. You can collect the BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION, which are on the tops of most of your cereal boxes. You can also collect soup labels. Every school has a location where you can deposit these labels. The schools are the ones that send them to the companies that sponsor this. As you collect them put them in your Ziploc bags. Then once you have a good collection of labels take them into your school. If you're not finding a place to put them, then ask the front office where to drop them off.

Step 4
Another good way to save the school money, that's if you plan on donating any supplies to the teachers is to ask for a discount at your local store. Most stores offer discounts. Now you may have buy a certain amount, but not always. It NEVER hurts to ask. Say you're planning on donating for a school party, ask the local store if they'll help you out. It is always best to talk to a manager at that store. They usually have to donate a certain amount each month in order to get a tax break. JUST ASK, why not you never know what kind of discount you could get. Start NOW with all the school shopping you'll be doing before school starts. By all means join your child's local PTA group. You don't have to volunteer for every little thing, just by joining you are giving your local school money. Imagine if everyone in your school did this, how much they're raise just to give back to your school. By doing all these things, it will help your local school in a big way. Plus they are fairly easy things you can do to help out.
